Terms of Service
Terms and Conditions
1. Orders & Payment
All orders are made to order and require full payment at checkout unless otherwise agreed in writing. By placing an order, you confirm that all names, dates, wording, and details provided are accurate — Sukoon Works is not responsible for errors resulting from information submitted incorrectly by the customer.
Sukoon Works reserves the right to decline or cancel any order, including custom commissions, at its discretion, with a full refund issued for any work not yet begun.
2. Custom & Commissioned Work
Custom commissions begin with a consultation to confirm scope, timeline, and pricing before work starts. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to begin most commissions, with the balance due before final production and shipping.
Because custom work is personalized, we do not accept cancellations after work has begun. The Customer is required to pay for all work completed up to the point of cancellation.
3. Proofs & Revisions
A digital proof will be shared for your review before any piece goes into final production. One round of revisions is included; further rounds may carry an additional fee, which will be communicated before the work begins. Once a proof is approved in writing, Sukoon Works is not responsible for errors that were present in, and approved on, that proof.
4. Processing Time & Shipping
Estimated processing times are provided at the time of order and are approximate, not guaranteed, as each piece is designed and produced individually. Shipping timelines are separate from processing time and depend on the carrier and destination selected at checkout.
Sukoon Works packages every order carefully to protect against damage in transit, but is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage once a package has left our hands and is in the custody of the shipping carrier. Customers are encouraged to purchase shipping insurance for high-value or international orders where available.
5. Returns, Refunds & Damages
Because each piece is made to order with customer-specific details, custom and personalized work is not eligible for return or exchange barring specific conditions outlined in our Return Policy.
6. International Orders
International shipping is available at checkout, with rates and estimated delivery calculated by destination. Any customs duties, import taxes, or related fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the purchase price.
7. Portfolio Rights
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Sukoon Works retains the right to photograph, display, and use commissioned artwork — including customized Nikkah contracts — for portfolio, website, marketing, advertising, competition, exhibition, social media, and other promotional purposes. If you would prefer your piece remain private, please let us know before work begins so we can note your request in advance.
8. Copyright
Sukoon Works retains copyright ownership of all original artwork, designs, and calligraphy created for clients, unless copyright is expressly transferred in a separate written agreement. Purchasing a piece from Sukoon Works transfers ownership of the physical (or digital) item itself, but does not transfer copyright or intellectual property rights in the underlying design.
9. Your License to Display
When you purchase a piece from Sukoon Works, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to display and enjoy that artwork. This license does not permit you to reproduce, copy, scan, digitize, modify, resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the artwork without prior written permission from Sukoon Works.
10. Custom Designs & Reproduction Rights
While every custom commission is personalized for you, custom does not mean exclusive. Unless full design exclusivity has been purchased separately and confirmed in writing, Sukoon Works retains the right to reproduce, adapt, or recreate any artwork — including custom commissions — for other customers, the general collection, or future original works. This includes designs, layouts, motifs, and artistic techniques developed as part of your commission.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, photography, logos, product designs, graphics, and written material are the intellectual property of Sukoon Works and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.
12. Customer Photo & Review Use
By voluntarily submitting a photograph, testimonial, or review — whether by email, social media tag, or direct submission — you grant Sukoon Works permission to display that content on our website, social media, and marketing materials. Where required by applicable law, we will seek your explicit consent before use.
13. Limitation of Liability
Sukoon Works is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of our products, including but not limited to delays, missed events, or dissatisfaction with subjective design choices approved by the customer during the proofing process. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
14. Religious & Cultural Content
Sukoon Works takes care to ensure accuracy in any Qur’anic verses, duas, or religious text included in a piece, and reviews such content before production. Customers are encouraged to note any specific wording, school of thought, or regional convention at the time of order. Final approval of a proof is considered confirmation that the customer has reviewed the religious content for accuracy.
15. Changes to These Terms
Sukoon Works may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
